I've heard this called the song of summer '09. With this much play, who can argue.

Illustrator Christoph Niemann has hit the nail on the head with these excellent sleep related "infographic" illustrations. I can especially relate to the first two!

"The most powerful PSA I've ever made"

Normally I'm not a big fan of over-the-top "graphic" PSA ads designed to shock or disturb you into paying attention. Most of the time, they're just gross. I know they can often be effective, but I'm just not a fan.

So when I started watching this one, I was ready to pass it off as another one of "those" type of ads. Yes, it is very graphic. But it's not really focusing on that. It's more about what happens after, and that's what blew me away.

Donny Deutch called it "the most powerful PSA ever made". I think he could be right. This spot moved me. So much so, that I may never even answer my phone again while driving. I can't stop thinking about it... which means, they did their job.

Always love to support local talent, especially when it's awesome talent. Check out the trailer for the upcoming film MAGNIFIER, directed by Moncton's own Marcel Gallant - written by, Saint John-er, Michael M McDonald.

Starring, Walter Learning, Andrew Johnston, Wally Mackinnon and Emily Bartlett. The film was shot on location in Saint John, NB Canada. Slated for release in October 2009.

Synopsis:
In 1969 Tommy Wilkins, spent his days dreaming and wishing for the time to come, where he could go beyond the places his astronaut hero's had already been.

One winter he meets a man with a secret machine, that would give Tommy all the answers.

Be careful what you wish for.

John Cleese on caricatures. Fascinating.

So true. Your brain really plays tricks on you. As I watched this, I started to believe the Prince Charles caricature looked more like him than the real photo?

...or is that just me?

New Guitar Hero Branding

Out with the old... in with the new. I like the original GH better, but I understand the need to develop a more versatile treatment that works across other upcoming "non-rock" brands. They also created an entire GH font to be used:
